Atmos Energy is reporting a 2-inch cut line and an outage for natural gas service to some of its customers in and around Parkway Drive in Owensboro. Crews are working to restore service.
At 11 a.m., Atmose said it appeared the outage affected approximately 425 customers.
“The safety and reliability of our system is always our number one priority,” Tim Owen, VP Operations said. “The gas is off and once we can safely make repairs, we will restore service as soon as we can.”
Atmos reported “it is very likely repairs will take some time” and requested the community to avoid that area of the city.
Atmos reminds customers if they smell gas, leave the area and call 1-866-322-8667.
