Michael Woodrow Christol, Jr., of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Michael was born in Lafayette, Georgia on August 6, 1944, to the late Michael Woodrow Christol, Sr. and Sylvia Mae Dodson Christol.
Michael, a machine operator for 32 years, worked at Eaton Axel/Dana in Henderson. He was a member of BPI, Rosicrucian Order AMORC, and Circes. He enjoyed ghost hunting, UFOs, UK basketball, UK football and fishing.
Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth.
Michael is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith Willowdean Sandefur Christol; his children: Damon (Kathie) Christol, Nina (Glen) Rohrer, Dawn (Jimmy) Dalton, Tanya (Pete) Mummert, and Wendy (Matt) Patton; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Maceo Baptist Church, with Brother Scott Ford officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the church.
