A draft of the 2023 Green River Area Development District (GRADD) Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Update is available for public comment from through November 1. Some of the major topics examined in the document include a lack of housing, broadband connectivity, and a lack of childcare options.

The CEDS report examines the current economic conditions of seven counties – Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster – and serves as an action plan for continued economic growth. The document and annual updates are required by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA).

“The CEDS is an important resource for our communities as it charts the path for economic success in the district,” said GRADD Executive Director Joanna Shake.

The plan can be viewed online here or at the GRADD office at 300 GRADD Way. Physical copies are available upon request.
