Update — The victim in Wednesday evening’s fatal accident at the intersection of East Parrish Avenue and Wing Avenue has been identified.
According to the Owensboro Police Department, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 24-year-old Taylor Howard. According to OPD, Howard was the operator of a motorcycle involved in the collision.

One person died from injuries sustained during a 2-vehicle accident Wednesday evening, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to a release, at approximately 6:09 p.m. OPD responded to the intersection of East Parrish Avenue and Wing Avenue for a collision involving two vehicles. The Owensboro Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to assist.
An injured operator was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment where the operator later died as a result of his injuries, according to OPD.
Members of the OPD Accident Reconstruction Team responded to investigate the collision.
