A female juvenile has been charged with second-degree assault for stabbing another female juvenile in the arm, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to a release, at 9:11 p.m. Monday OPD responded to the 600 block of Orchard Street for a stabbing that occurred in the 1000 Block of West 5th Street. Officers located a female juvenile with a stab wound on her upper right arm, according to OPD.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were called to the scene to continue their investigation and were able to develop a female juvenile suspect, who was located and interviewed on Tuesday.
The juvenile was charged and transported to the Campbell County Juvenile Detention Center. The suspect has previously been charged with the following, according to OPD:
• Assault 4th Degree (Minor Injury) (5 Counts)
• Assault 4th Degree (No Visible Injury) (2 Counts)
• Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree
• Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree (3 Counts)
• Abuse of Teacher (10 Counts)
• Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree (3 Counts)
