The Green River Area Development District and Poole’s Pharmacy are partnering to host a free vaccine clinic this Friday for people aged 55+ or with a disability. Flu, COVID, and pneumonia vaccines will be available from at no cost.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 4333 Springhill Drive. Vaccine recipients will also receive a $10 gift card and a T-shirt.
The effort comes after GRADD joined the Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative (ADVC), led by USAging, to launch its “You’ve Got This” initiative. The initiative aims to ensure older adults and people with disabilities have equitable access to vaccinations, supportive services, and vaccine education. The ADVC is funded through a grant from the U.S. Administration for Community Living.
“GRADD is proud to partner with the USAging’s ADVC to support vaccination education and promotion,” said Amber Gebhard, GRADD’s Community Services Manager. “The ability to provide access to vaccines for older adults and people with disabilities has been such a benefit for our region.”
