
William H. Stallings, 84, of Owensboro, died on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest. He was born March 9, 1934 in Daviess County, KY to the late William H. and Georgia Bryant Stallings. He worked in advertising for Woolco Department Store and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Bernadette Schooler and Frances Stallings; and a brother, J.W. Stallings.
Survivors include two sons, Bill “Skip” Stallings (Debbie) and Troy Stallings; a daughter, Kim Stallings; four grandchildren, Olivia Weatherholt (Zach), Marci Dant, Elizabeth Yager (John) and Natalie Greenwell (Heath); seven great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Gaynell Stallings.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with prayers at 5 p.m. There will also be visitation after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
