Bobby Dale Geary 61, of Island, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Ohio County Healthcare in Hartford. Bobby Dale Geary was born September 27, 1962 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to the late Bobby Anderson and Sue Gray Geary. After his parents death, Bobby Dale was raised by his grandparents, Willard and Dee Geary and was married to the former Sabrina Ann Crumbaker on December 3, 1994. Bobby Dale’s zest for life and his love for the great outdoors left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Bobby Dale spent his life working with his hands and heart, carving out a career as a logger with Geary Brothers Logging. He was not just a man who worked in the forest; he was part of the forest. His work allowed him to be close to the nature he so dearly loved and his contribution to the industry was marked by his deep knowledge of the woods and his respect for the environment.
An avid hunter, Bobby Dale found tranquility and joy in the quiet moments waiting for game, the camaraderie of fellow hunters, and the thrill of the hunt. His skills were honed over many seasons, and his respect for wildlife was a lesson he shared with many. Likewise, fishing was not just a pastime for Bobby Dale, but a pursuit that brought him peace. The hours spent by the water were cherished; each cast a meditation, each catch a blessing.
Bobby Dale was a member of Island Baptist Church. His love for the outdoors was all-encompassing. He relished the simple pleasure of being outdoors, whether it was cutting trees, exploring the woods, or just sitting still in the embrace of nature.
In addition to his parents, Bobby Dale was preceded in death by an aunt, Gelita Ashby.
Bobby Dale is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sabrina Geary; a son, Kyle Geary (Haley) of Bremen; two daughters, Amanda Lampton (Jamie) of Central City and Hallie Geary of Island; five grandchildren, Rae Tucker, Jovi Tedder, Wyatt Geary, Weston Geary and Lily Geary; two sisters, Sherry Carrico of Owensboro and Jamie Godbee (Chris) of Illinois; three uncles, Freddie Geary (Sue), Edward Geary (Brenda) and Billy Geary all of Moorman; and an aunt, Kaye Glener (Stevie) of Moorman.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Island Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Bobby Dale’s family from 12:00 P.M. (noon) until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.
