
Polly Vincent 81, of Calhoun, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at her home near Calhoun. Polly Ann Jones was born April 16, 1942 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late John Pascal and Lorene Payton Jones. Polly lived a full life characterized by devotion to her family, faith, and community.
Polly retired from Carhartt in Sebree. She found solace and purpose in her spiritual community at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Calhoun. She was very involved in ministry work, sharing her faith with others, and forming lasting friendships within her congregation. Her dedication to her faith was evident in her actions and the comfort she provided to others.
Polly’s love for the outdoors was reflected in her passion for gardening. Whether she was planting flowers to add beauty to her surroundings or trees to provide shade and shelter, Polly was happiest with her hands in the soil. Her garden was a reflection of the care and attention she gave to all living things.
The time Polly spent with her grandchildren was precious to her. She instilled in them the values of kindness, perseverance, the importance of family, while always reminding them that “patience is a virtue.” Her influence will continue to guide them throughout their lives.
Polly’s legacy is one of unwavering love, steadfast faith, and nurturing care. She will be remembered for her warm smiles, her generous spirit, and the comfort she provided to those in need. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by the many lives she touched.
Polly is survived by a son, Tim Vincent (Lisa) of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Chasity Tate (Stephen) of Philpot, Lexi Vincent (Nate) and Dylan Vincent both of Calhoun; three great grandchildren, Bryer Blakely, Rylee Blakely and Elijah Blakely; and a sister, Betty Whitmer of Sacramento.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses; 1040 Kentucky 136 East; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Polly’s family.
