Michael Edward Conley

Michael Edward Conley, 60, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019. He was born in Sparta, Illinois on July 31, 1958 to the late Walter Conley and Ednola Mischeaux Conley. He was retired from St. Stephen Cathedral where he worked as a music liturgist for 37 years. Michael was an honorary Glenmary, a director at St. Stephens, and member of the gospel group Sonshine in the 80’s. He enjoyed music, traveling, reading ghost stories and horror stories, haunting shows, and murder mysteries. Michael also enjoyed learning the origin of towns during his travels.

Michael is survived by his Godson, Mario Mitchell, his brother, Steve Conley, and his special friends, Laura Bea (Mitchell) Buddendeck, Karen Buddendeck, and Sister Sharon Miller.

Services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
