Briarpatch Restaurant is a familiar staple in the dining landscape for Owensboro locals. Established in 1971, the steakhouse is well known for its salad bar, generous portions, and classic steak and seafood offerings. This Spring, Briarpatch is excited to announce the opening of their freshly renovated patio. With high top and low top table seating and an attractive stone fireplace, the patio will be available to customers on a first come, first served basis during dinner service, subject to availability.
Indoor diners will be pleased by other improvements around the restaurant’s several large dining rooms, which include new wallpaper, fresh paint, and updates to lighting. In particular, new lighting has given the famous Briarpatch salad bar a new look. Diners should also be aware that the salad bar is now available as a to-go dining item. Anyone interested in ordering the salad bar to-go can simply speak to the host on duty, who can provide them with a box, as well as containers for salad dressing or soup. This is a quick, delicious, and fresh option for diners in a hurry, such as those looking for an easy lunch option during the work day.
Briarpatch is extremely grateful to its loyal customers, who helped them achieve one of their biggest days of sales ever on Mother’s Day this year. While making improvements to the restaurant itself, Briarpatch owner Mike Courtney is proud to continue to be able meet customers’ expectations on a consistent basis, serving up your family’s favorites year over year. Briarpatch is open for lunch Monday through Friday 11am – 2pm; dinner Monday through Thursday 4:30-8:30pm, 4:30-9:30pm on Friday, and 4-9:30pm on Saturday; and all day on Sundays from 11am until 8pm.
