Karen Elizabeth “Nana” Howard, 57, of Lewisport, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born February 11, 1962 in Daviess Co. to the late Edward and Mary Sparks. Karen was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed raising a garden and being in the outdoors. She also enjoyed her swimming pool, going to the beach, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, and her pets, her dog Jersey and her horses. Karen was also preceded in death by her first husband, David Logsdon in 1993, her sister, Judy Roberts and husband Tommy, and a niece, Jennifer Logsdon.
Surviving are her husband, of 24 years, David Howard, two daughters, Christina Duff and husband Roger of Hawesville and Renee Kasey and husband Chris of Owensboro, her son, Richard Logsdon of Owensboro, 10 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Halee, Abigail, Trenton, Keyleigh, Aubrey, Carlee, Gage, Kinslee, and Joslyn, two brothers, Jim Sparks and wife Sheila and Steve Sparks and wife Barbie, all of Owensboro, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service for Karen Howard will be Noon Wednesday, April 3, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 10:00 A.M. until Noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
