John Raymond Jarboe, 48, of Whitesville went home with the Lord Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. John was born December 16, 1970 in Daviess County to Johnny and Margaret Edge Jarboe. He had many loves within his life but his greatest were Jesus, his beautiful wife and two sweet boys and his family. John was called to preach and had the privilege of doing so at Dundee and Beech Valley United Methodist Church. He was also a registered nurse employed at Springs Urgent Care. One of John’s greatest joys was sharing all of his loves. His passions were preaching, hunting, smoking meats, NHRA, and attending KISS concerts.
Mr. Jarboe was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Raymond Jarboe and Gola Mae Rogers; Earnest “Skinny” and Georgia Edge; Henry W. and Gladys Ralph.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 14 years, Meredith Cecil Jarboe; two sons, Jack and Braydon Jarboe; parents, Johnny and Margaret Jarboe of Whitesville; brother, Adam Jarboe (Krista); nephews, Colby, Sky, and River Jarboe all of Reynolds Station; father and mother in-law, Joseph and Diann Meredith Cecil of Owensboro; brother and sister in-law, Shaun and Cheri Cecil and their children, Trevor and Caitlyn Cecil also of Owensboro; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
