James P. Laws, 86, of Dundee died Saturday, July 27, 2024 at his home. James was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Oswyn and Dorothy Williams Laws. James was a retired crane operator from LTV Steel and he was a past President of Dundee Fire Department #712. He loved doing community service, watching westerns, spending time with family and collecting tools. He was of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Laws and a son Michael Wayne Laws.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Barbara Crabtree Laws; a son-Jon Laws; a step daughter,-Patty Boehman; 3 brothers-Tommy (Brenda) Laws, Billy Laws, David (Elisa) Laws; 3 sisters-Yvonne (Morris) Dickson, Shirley (Morris) Hancock, Judy (Jack) Stoyell; 3 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; 1 great grandson and 2 great granddaughters.
Services are 1:00PM Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, KY. Burial will follow in New Baymus Cemetery in Olaton, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday and 9AM until funeral time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
