William Thomas “Tom” Dowell, age 58 of Sample, KY passed away July 27, 2024 as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born in Louisville, KY on October 16, 1965. He enjoyed fishing, hunting deer and turkeys and riding his motorcycle. Tom’s family was very important to him, especially time spent with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Estelle Schuler.

4 sons – William, Jason and Travis Dowell of Hardinsburg, KY and Jacob (Collin) Dowell of Louisville, KY
9 grandchildren: Jeremy, Brooklyn, Jason, Katlyn, Declan, Lawson, Kamryn, Shamon and Carter and Lanie who is due in September.
1 brother: Brett (Jennifer) Dowell of Bardstown, KY
2 sisters: Jeanette (Barry) Warren of Taylorsville, KY and Shannon (Brad) Hockenberry of Hardinsburg, KY

Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 2 – 6 PM with cremation to follow. All times are central.
