
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith, now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous Judge will award to me on that day, an not only to me but also to all who have longed for His appearing.
Frederick Eugene Hubbard, 77, of Owensboro, passed on to his Heavenly Home to be with his Lord. He was born on April 3, 1947 in Hawesville to the late Joe and Wilma Irene Hubbard. He lived most of his years in Hancock County and graduated From Hancock County High School in 1965. After High School he joined the Navy. He grew up helping his Dad on the Hubbard farm. He worked 42 years at the Tile Plant in Lewisport. A member of Hawesville United Methodist Church and later attended Walnut Memorial Baptist Church in Owensboro for the last 20 years.
People who knew him called him Freddie, known as a man of integrity. He was a faithful and loving, husband, dad and grand-daddy. (A wonderful Man). He loved hunting and fishing especially with his grandchildren. Many weekends were spent riding the side by side, golf cart and the ATV on the Farm.
Freddie leaves behind his beloved wife, Malinda Butler Hubbard; two daughters, Teresa Hubbard of Louisville and Debra Brown of Owensboro; three stepsons, John, Tim and Stephen Dalton of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Alexandra Fallin, Lindsey Patrick and Parker Brown; two step grandchildren, Matisse Dalton and LaDonna Patrick; 4 great grandchildren, Keylee, Jacob, Allie and Harper Hylton; a sister, Wilma Jo (Ed) Oliver; sister-in-law, Betty Butler Sturgeon; brother-in-law, Billy Bulter along with several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday August 13, 2024 at Hawesville United Methodist Church with burial following in Serenity Hills in Hawesville. Freddie’s family will greet friends from 10:00 am until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY.
