CENTERTOWN- Betty Brigance went home to heaven on August 15, 2024. Betty was born in Centertown to the late Hulon Lee and Josephine Boone Bullock. Betty was a lifelong member of Smallhous Missionary Baptist Church where she lived her life for the Lord. Betty will always be loved and remembered as the kind, loving and all around perfect mother, sister, aunt grandmother and dear friend to so many. She was preceded in death by her husband V.T. Brigance, an infant son, Dennis Brigance, and two brothers-Eddie Bullock and Freddie Bullock. “I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” John 16:22
Survivors include her daughter-Sheri Newcom(Scott Moore); her brother-Wayne (Ruth) Bullock;2 sisters-Bonnie (Tony) Geary and Lyfronda Doolin; 2 grandchildren-Kyle (Sara) Newcom and Kayla Newcom(Garrett Stevens);
4 great grandchildren-Kylee, Laney, Cameron and Preston; several nieces and nephews.
Services are 3:00 PM Monday August 19, 2024 at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Alton Crowe and Bro. Mike Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in Smallhous Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery near Centertown. Visitation will be from 10AM until funeral time on Monday at the funeral home.
