“We are thrilled to announce the finalists for this year’s Impact100 Owensboro grant, and this event is special for several reasons,” said Beth Clements, president of Impact100 Owensboro. “First, it’s a testament to the organizations in Owensboro and Daviess County that are making a significant difference in our community through their programs and services. Additionally, this event allows us to applaud our 271 dedicated members. Their commitment to making our community the best it can be is what enables us to offer these transformative grants.”

Impact100 Owensboro is a community of women with a mission of seeking to transform lives in the Greater Owensboro area through high-impact and lifelong giving. The group is celebrating its 19th year providing grants to local nonprofit organizations.

Awards will be decided on October 22 when Impact100’s members will come together in person at the RiverPark Center for the organization’s annual meeting. Each finalist will offer a presentation about their organization and related project. Impact100 members will be able to read about each organization’s project in advance of the annual meeting as well as meet with nonprofits at scheduled site visits.

“We greatly appreciate the 115 Impact100 members who volunteered their time and talents this summer on a Focus Group. These women analyzed the grant applications, asked questions, and visited the nonprofits,” said Amy Silvert, Impact100 Owensboro grants committee co-chair. “Then, they had the difficult decision to select just seven finalists from many dedicated nonprofits all doing excellent work. We sincerely appreciate all our applicants for striving to best support our community.”

Sydney Warren, Impact100 Owensboro NextGen committee chair, said the young women of NextGen follow a similar process to determine the finalists for their grant.

“Our members learn about each mission of the non-profits who submit a proposal, evaluate the grant project presented and then submit an evaluation form to collectively select the finalists,” she said. “It is a pleasure to walk alongside them as they learn more about the nonprofits who serve our community.”
