An Owensboro man is facing multiple drug charges including trafficking in meth and fentanyl following the execution of a search warrant on Thursday, according to Kentuck State Police.
KSP troopers executed the warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Maple Street around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, according to a release.
The release says troopers located “large bags” of suspected methamphetamine, counterfeit Percocet pills believed to be Fentanyl, synthetic marijuana, marijuana, ammunition, scales and various forms of drug paraphernalia.
Jamal D. Huggins, 36, was arrested and charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance – 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine, greater than 2 grams)
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance – 1st Degree (Fentanyl)
- Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs – 1st Degree
- Possession of a Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Huggins was transported and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security were also involved in the investigation and arrests.
The investigation is ongoing.
