Betty Pool Welch, age 83 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away August 24, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Breckinridge County on August 4, 1941, daughter of the late J. T. and Floy Ramsey Pool. Betty was a member of Hardinsburg United Methodist Church and former member of the Breckinridge County Chamber of Commerce. She was the committee chairperson for Hoe Down Days, an annual event that she looked forward to planning. Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed flower gardening and working crossword puzzles. Betty was called Nana by her grandchildren, but she was most proud to be a great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Tim Willis, sister Nelta Jean Burdette and great nephew Jordan Pool.
Betty is survived by Larry, her husband of 36 years.
2 daughters: Julie Stilwell (Mark) of Louisville, KY and Betty Jane Willis of McDaniels, KY
Stepdaughter: Melissa Dawn Pitt of Georgetown,IN
6 grandchildren: Emily Stilwell, Rachel Gray (Dylan), Ryan Stilwell, Thomas Willis, Lindsey Lynn (Jerry) and Seth Willis.
2 great grandchildren: Reese Gray and Ella Grace Lynn.
1 brother: Everette Pool (Carolyn) of Hardinsburg, KY

Funeral services will be held at Hardinsburg United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 11 AM with burial in the Kingswood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 4- 8 PM and after 8:30 AM on Wednesday. All times re central.
