
Cain Jewell Amos, age 34, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away on September 3, 2024. Born on July 20, 1990, Cain was known for his boundless kindness and radiant spirit. He had a remarkable ability to light up any room he entered and never met a stranger. A proud graduate of Owensboro High School’s Class of 2009, Cain carried his joyful demeanor and compassion throughout his life, making friends wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Cody Amos. Cain is survived by his loving mother, Taneko Snorton (Edward) of Owensboro; his siblings, Chauncey Amos and Clairissa Amos, both of Owensboro; and his grandmother, Isabell Amos, also of Owensboro. He is further survived by his aunts: Charmaine Duggar of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Nena Owens (Larry) and Cozetta Nurse, both of Owensboro; and his uncle, William Amos Jr. (Rosalind) of Mobile, Alabama. Cain also leaves behind several cousins and a host of friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Cain’s warmth, generosity, and ever-present smile made him the life of the party to all who knew him. His big heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Cain’s presence may be gone, but his memory and the impact he made in his short but meaningful life will remain with us always.
Visitation will take place at McFarland Funeral Home on Tuesday September 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
