The Owensboro Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman and her 3-year-old daughter. OPD said the mother “may be suffering from mental health issues” and is believed to have been involved in a vehicle pursuit that was called off due to it becoming too dangerous for the public.

According to a release from OPD, the woman was identified as Brooke Lascallett.
The OPD post reads:
“Brooke is believed to be operating a black Dodge Journey SUV with Kentucky License plate J6P848. She was last seen with her 3-year-old daughter Ava Devore. Brooke may be suffering from mental health issues. It is believed that Brooke was involved in a vehicle pursuit with deputies in Breckenridge County, KY earlier this evening. The pursuit was terminated by deputies when it became too dangerous for the public and those involved to risk continuing. Detectives are still investigating the circumstances that led to Brooke and Ava’s disappearance. Anyone with information is asked to call 270-687-8888 or report tips anonymously at Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.”
