Donald Edward Howard, 82, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024 at his home. He was born January 6, 1942 in Owensboro to the late Edward and Sylvia Austin Howard. Donald retired from Whirlpool and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a very loving man with a giving heart. Donald enjoyed going to the track and casinos and buying lottery tickets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, James Pate, Wanda Howard and Joe Howard.
He is survived by daughters, Jill Hagan (Eric), Sandy Ball (Andy) and Candy Mason (Matt); son, Troy Howard (Trudi); 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia Sargent (Ken), Georgia Marksberry (Bobby), Carol Jean Tucker, Tony Howard, David Howard, Linda Heishman (Mike), Jim Howard (Karry), and Connie Stephens (Randy) ; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Joyce Sargent.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
