Randy Shanks 66, of the Semiway Community in McLean County, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 at University of Louisville Hospital. Randall Lynn Shanks was born January 27, 1958 in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late Robert Dudley and Helen Vickers Nall Shanks and was better known as ‘Randy’ to both his family and friends.
Randy was a graduate of McLean County High School and Western Kentucky University. He was an operation technician at Kimberly – Clark in Owensboro, a member of the former New Cypress Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was attending Harvest Vision Church in Livermore.
Randy was a member of Sacramento Lions Club and enjoyed both farming and sharing his knowledge with others.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Shanks and Reggie Shanks.
Randy is survived by a brother, Robbie Shanks (Cindy) of Philpot; two nephews, Jeff Shanks of Calhoun and James Shanks of St. Louis; two nieces, Katrina Darnall (David) of Dalton, Kentucky and Rebecca Shanks of Lexington; 4 great nieces; and a great nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the New Cypress Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Randy’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
