Modesta Ann “Dessie” Robbins, born on February 6, 1950, in Balltown, KY, passed away peacefully at her home on November 8, 2024, at the age of 74, surrounded by her loving family as she joined her heavenly family.
Dessie was the cherished daughter of Valeria and Earl Baldwin, and she will be fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit, infectious sense of humor, unwavering dedication to her family, and tireless work ethic and found peace in her love of gardening.
She leaves behind a remarkable legacy of love through her three devoted daughters: Randi Stewart and her husband, Nick; Abbey Kitchens and her husband, Jimmy; and Valerie Alexander and her husband, Cary.
As a proud “Mammaw”, Dessie delighted in the company of her beloved grandchildren: Brooklyn and Eli Alexander, Jackson and Emma Stewart, Ella Brooks (Seth), and Grayson, Leyla, Tucker and Maci Kitchens, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is also survived by her treasured great-grandchildren, Kobi and Bronx Bailey, as well as her partner of 26 years, Keith Drake.
Dessie’s family and friends will forever cherish her spirited nature, boundless compassion, and steadfast love.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, KY on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 1 PM with burial in the Calvary Cemetery in Cloverport, KY. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 10 AM – 1 PM. All times are central.
