A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to block the entrance to Alvey Park Drive West in Owensboro for about two weeks. Work has already begun.
Hinkle Contracting is blocking Alvey Park Drive West at the 2.95-mile point of KY 54, where the roadway intersects the ongoing highway widening project. The blockage is to allow the existing roadway to be aligned with new and upcoming construction, including new storm drains, guttering, and curbs.
The roadway is expected to reopen on Dec. 15.
