A joint economic development investment by five area counties, including Daviess, is about to pay off. Greenville Manufacturing, an LLC of BE&E out of Indianapolis, has announced a $16.2 million venture to build a new facility in Muhlenberg County, creating 250 jobs. The project marks the first tenant for Paradise Regional Industrial Park.

Daviess County Judge-Executive Charlie Castlen emphasized the regional impact of the project, noting the County’s $106,000 contribution to the development of the industrial park.

“This is a huge win for our region. Daviess County is set to gain approximately $27,000 annually in occupational tax revenue from the 250 new jobs, meaning our initial investment will be recouped in about four years,” Castlen said. “More importantly, this creates opportunities for our residents, with up to 20 of those jobs projected to come directly from Daviess County.”

The project is part of Kentucky’s broader plan to strengthen manufacturing through efforts such as the Kentucky Product Development Initiative, which allocated $745,000 in state support to make the industrial park development-ready.

Gov. Andy Beshear celebrated the announcement, calling it a testament to Kentucky’s economic momentum.

“This investment will bring high-quality jobs to families in Western Kentucky and provide a substantial economic boost to the region. It’s another example of the strength of our workforce and the partnerships we’re building to attract major investments,” Beshear said during a press event.

Paradise Regional Industrial Park, established two decades ago, is a collaborative effort between Muhlenberg, Daviess, McLean, Ohio, and Hopkins counties. Ray Hagerman, executive director of the Muhlenberg Economic Growth Alliance, said the partnership is yielding tangible results.

“Each county contributed to make this site development-ready, and now the entire region stands to benefit,” Hagerman said. “The occupational tax from the new jobs will be split among the counties, ensuring long-term financial returns for everyone involved.”

Greenville Manufacturing is a member of Floyd Holdings and specializes in bulk material handling equipment for industries like agriculture, forestry, and biomass. CEO Dane Floyd attributed the company’s decision to expand in Muhlenberg County to the region’s workforce and community support.

“Our employees here have shown incredible productivity and dedication,” Floyd said. “The support from local leaders and the state made it clear this is the right place to grow.”

The new facility will consolidate operations currently spread across multiple locations, including Indianapolis, where the company’s headquarters is based. Floyd noted that while some opportunities for relocation will be offered, most of the new jobs will be filled locally.

Muhlenberg County Judge-Executive Mack McGehee called the announcement a long-awaited milestone.

“This is a great day for everyone involved in the development of Paradise Regional Industrial Park. This investment will have a lasting economic impact on our community,” McGehee said.

The project also signals potential future growth for the park.

“This is just the beginning,” Castlen said. “As additional companies move into the park, Daviess County and the entire region will continue to reap the benefits of this forward-thinking investment.”

Construction on the new facility is expected to begin this month, with operations projected to start in late 2025.
