Apollo and McLean County both picked up wins, while Owensboro Catholic fell on the road.
Apollo 82, Crittenden County 29
The Eagles made sure to get everyone involved, as 13 different players scored in their 82-29 win over Crittenden County. Kobe Kelly led the way with 14 points, while Kayden Green was second on the team in scoring with 12 points.
“Our kids are unselfish and have bought into what we are doing,” Apollo head coach Ryne Tinsley said. “It was a great week for us, and we played well today. Our players have a ton of heart, and we are proud to coach them as a staff. No one cares who gets the credit. People say it, they live it.”
Marshall County 68, Owensboro Catholic 52
Luke Beickman’s 20 points weren’t enough as the Aces dropped a tough one to Marshall County 69-52. Solly Smith was second on the team in scoring with 11 points, while Waryn Ebelhar finished with eight points, including two three-pointers.
McLean County 68, Evansville Day School (Evansville), IN 56
McLean County played well out of the gate to grab an early 26-6 lead. Growing a little lackluster, Evansville cut the deficit to 36-26 at the half. In the third, the Cougars went on a 10-0 run to take a commanding 20-point lead before cruising to a 68-56 victory.
