David Henry Duncan

David Henry Duncan, affectionately known as “Dinky,” passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 73. He was born on June 14, 1951, in Owensboro, Kentucky.

David led a life full of passion and adventure. Early in his life, he spent time working on cars and running the DooWop’s race team. He is best known for his dedication to towing and recovery, spending the majority of his life aiding people in their time of need. His love for others was his greatest attribute and he will be most remembered for going out of his way to help anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by parents, Dorothy and Henry Duncan; sister, Shirley Adams; and ex-wife and dear friend, Sherry Duncan.

 

David is survived by his sister, Nelda Barnett; three sons, David Duncan, Bobby (Shelinia) Duncan, and Dana (Ashlie) Duncan; daughter, Tonya (Maseo) Johnson; 15 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

David will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and the love he shared with his family. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on January 18, 2025 at 11 am with visitation from 9-11 am at First Christian Church, 700 J.R. Miller Blvd, Owensboro, KY.
