
Shirley Ann Moore 88, of Island, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Island. Shirley Ann Eastwood was born December 28, 1936 in Island, Kentucky to the late Robert Benjamin Eastwood and Wilda Gee Penrod. Shirley was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a beacon of warmth and affection throughout her life.
Shirley’s professional life was marked by her dedicated work as a data processor from which she retired after many years of service. She was a respected figure in her workplace, known for her professionalism and friendly demeanor.
Beyond her family and work commitments, Shirley was a member of the Island community. She was a member of Island Baptist Church, where she found strength and fellowship. Her faith was an integral part of her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort in times of need.
Shirley’s love for beauty was evident in the way she tended to her garden. She enjoyed caring for her flowers, an activity that reflected the care she gave to her relationships. Those who knew Shirley will remember the joy and satisfaction she found in the serene moments spent among her blooms.
Shirley’s legacy is one of love, care, and the importance of community. Her life was an embodiment of the values she held dear—family, faith, and friendship. She will be remembered for the comfort and happiness she brought to those around her, the sound advice she offered, and the laughter she shared.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Robert B. Eastwood, Jr.
Shirley is survived by a daughter, Teresa Corpus of Island; two sons, Ronnie Moore of Buttonsberry and Jason Moore of Livermore; five grandchildren, Stacy Sowders, Brandon Watts, Mary Midkiff, Sydney Moore, and Kaylyn Moore; four great-grandchildren, Amelia Sowders, Vivian Sowders, Greyson Watts, and Isaac Watts; a brother, Tommy Calvert (Janet) of Island; and a sister, Vickie Parham (Jim) of Island.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Island Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Shirley’s family from 12:00 P.M. (noon) until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
