James Matthew Shawn Trogden, 35, of Owensboro, passed away at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital on January 15, 2025. He was born in Owensboro, KY on August 27, 1989. He was a graduate of Daviess County Highschool, and he attended the University of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Brent Trogden.
Matt is survived by his father and stepmother, Troy Shawn Trogden; mother, Michelle Rhineburger-Trogden; son, Tristan Shawn Trogden and Tristan’s mom, Andrea Tucker; close friend, Ronnie Scott; brothers, Nick (Haley) Trogden and Nathan Trogden; grandparents, Lynda Trogden and Terry (Zena) Rhineburger; two nieces and four nephews who thought the world of their Uncle Matt, Hayden Shawn, James, Timothy Ray Matthew, Abigail, Nickolas and Emalynn Trogden; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
