Amy Maureen Rawdon Lawson, 77, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born January 23, 1948, in Union City, Tennessee to the late Charles D. Rawdon and Margaret Jones Rawdon Payne. Amy was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Kangaroo Express Convenient Stores. She loved spending time with her family, shopping, and eating out. She also enjoyed traveling and going to casinos. Amy was also preceded in death by her husband Larry Michael Lawson in 1996, a son, Scott Lawson in 2012, a grandson, Tipton Lynn Lawson in 2005, and her stepfather, Robert H. Payne in 2008.
Surviving are a daughter, Christina Floyd (Brad) of Owensboro, a son, Larry D. Lawson of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Christopher S. Lawson, Nick Lawson (Hallie), Christian “C.J.” Hamilton (Stephen), Michael Lawson, and Tristan Floyd, all of Owensboro; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Charles R. Rawdon of Hartford, and a sister, Jeanna Burgess (Aaron) of Louisville.
A memorial service will be 2 PM Friday, February 14, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
