
LaDonna “Donna” Suzann McKinley, 78, of Whitesville, passed away on February 10, 2025 at home under the care of her loving family and Hospice and Palliative Care. Donna was born in Whitesville to the late Jordan H and Mary E Barrett Evans. She graduated from St. Mary of the Woods High School and Kentucky Wesleyan College with a degree in Nursing. Donna was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church and a retired surgical nurse after 40 plus years. She was a Kentucky Colonel.
Aside from her parents, Donna was preceded in death by two brothers Barry and Vic Evans, both of Owensboro, a sister Janice Pike of Whitesville and a grandson, Wyatt McKinley of Whitesville.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her husband of 59 years, Eddie McKinley; 3 children, Michael( Connie) McKinley and Chris McKinley, both of Whitesville and Robin (Kevin) Isbill of Knottsville, 12 grandchildren, Morgan Miller, Brandon McKinley, Halie Merritt, Matthew McKinley, Myranda Hinton, Tyler Isbill, Lyndsey McKinley, Austin Cavin, CJ McKinley, Evan Isbill, Montana McKinley and Laura McKinley and 23 great grandchildren; one brother, Melvyn Evans of Jasper, IN; 2 sisters, Majella Mills and Mary Boarman, both of Whitesville; 4 sisters-in-law, Mary Jo (Carl)Westerfield, and Margaret Evans of Owensboro, Brenda (Paul) Clemons and Marsha (Dayton) Roberts both of Philpot; a brother-in-law, Gene Pike of Whitesville and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care for their care.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Mary of the Woods School Tuition Assistance Fund.
A Funeral Mass will be said on 10:00 February 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, with prayers at 6:30 p.m.
