Susan Early, 60, of Reynolds Station passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at her residence with her family by her side. Born October 18, 1958 in Owensboro to the late Sam and Patricia Lackey Payne, Susan graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School (class of ’76). She retired from Field Packing Company after working there for many years. Susan loved all kinds of farm animals, especially mules which she used to barrel race. She also loved being outside and going camping and fishing. Susan was an easy going person and very outgoing who never met a stranger.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 29 years, David Early; sons, Forrest Early (Courtney Lively) of Owensboro and Davy Early (Jessica) Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania; daughters, Melissa Schoaff (David) of Owensboro and Sabrina Early of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; nine grandchilden and five great-grandchildren; brother, Galen Payne (Kathy) and sister, Linda Pipes (Larry) both of Salina, Kansas.
The funeral service for Susan Early will be noon Thursday, May 30 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 and Thursday from 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
