Veterans Boulevard between Frederica Street and Allen Street, along with portions of Smothers Park, are temporarily closed due to high water. The closure will be in place until the high water threat has passed. The public is encouraged to avoid the area as river levels continue to rise.
The affected area includes the section of the park west of Allen Street to Frederica Street, encompassing Lazy Dayz Playground, the concession area, and the fountains.
The Riverwalk between McConnell Plaza and Allen Street is also closed until further notice.
