Edison Doyl Payton, 92, of Fordsville passed away April 15, 2025 at his residence.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator. Doyl was a member of Masonic Lodge #600 and a member of Fordsville Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Payton.
He is survived by his brother Dwight (Geneva) Payton; son Tommy Payton and daughter Debbie Mattingly; granddaughter Jenna (Jeff) Peercy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial to follow in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 18 from 4pm to 8pm and 9am until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
