GREENVILLE – Kenneth Earl Lovell, 79, of Greenville, died Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 9:12AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Lovell was born May 23, 1945 in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Olive Grove General Baptist Church, worked as a Laborer with Laborer’s Union Local #1392, was a Riverview & Austin Surface Miner, and retired from TVA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He loved his family and visiting with his grandchildren. He loved to travel to Memphis and Chicago to see family, and enjoyed afternoon drives on weekends with Brinda, his wife of 38 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Conrad Lovell; mother, Josephine Lovell; first wife, Karen Moore Lovell; son, Kenneth Shane Lovell; brothers, James, Charlie, Gene, Harold, and Wendell Lovell; and sister, Helen Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Brinda Abney Lovell; daughter, Kim (Ryan) Drake of Bremen; son, Tracy (Erin) Lovell of Louisville; step-daughters, Tina (Bud) Ellis of Central City, and Amy (Johnnie) Mathis of Central City; grandchildren, Kara (Ryan) Cox, Dylan Mathis, Riley Drake, and Gideon Lovell; great-grandchild, Baby Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 11AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
