The Panthers scored three runs in the top of the second inning and never trailed the rest of the game, beating Apollo 9-0. Lucas Ward went 1-2 with an RBI, while Brody Brubaker and Noah Ranburger both drove in runs. Logan Mewes threw a complete game shutout on the mound, striking out nine over seven innings.
For the Eagles, Ryleigh Logan and Ty Lillpop had the team’s only hits, while Ross Millburn, Jackson Carder, and Garrett Lanham all walked. Grayson Smith allowed one earned run over three innings, while Millburn and Isaac James both pitched in relief.
Hancock County 2, Tell City, IN 0
The Hornets broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the fifth inning to beat Tell City 2-0. Jacob Shultz went 2-3 with an RBI, while Porter Hay and Lane Dixon combined for three of the team’s five hits. Dec Lewko threw a complete game shutout, striking out nine over seven innings.
McLean County 14, Ohio County 3
The Cougars rode a six-run fourth inning to beat Ohio County 14-3. Hayden Hudson drove in five runs, while Connor Mitchuson went 3-5 with three RBIs. Jax Lee, Ayden Rice, and Corbin Martin each had two hits, while Brooks Lynam went 1-2 with two RBIs. Jaelin Groves started on the mound, allowing two earned runs over five innings, while Layden Bozarth pitched a perfect sixth.
Trinity (Whitesville) 15, Hopkins County Central 0
The Raiders scored 15 runs in the bottom of the third inning to mercy rule Hopkins County Central. Isaac Hernandez and W Burch combined for three hits and eight RBIs. Cale Boarman went 3-4, while Harrison Barnett went 2-2 with an RBI. Rylan Cecil threw three shutout innings, striking out one.
