
DRAKESBORO – Maymee Lee Pendley 97, of Drakesboro went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 11:44 am while under the care of Hospice of the Bluegrass. She was born September 7, 1927 to the late Cecil Knight and Maymee Earl Galloway Knight. She enjoyed gardening, seeing flowers of all kinds growing in her yard, cooking and making cakes and pies. Maymee also played a large role in taking care of the family farm and typing the prepared sermons for her husband Carl for his role as a Baptist minister. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Central City.
Maymee was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Carl Pendley, son Tommy Pendley, daughter-in-law, Susan Pendley, grandson, Matthew Libs. She was the youngest of four children, all preceding her, Howard Knight, Imogene Knight, and Evalene Knight.
Survivors include a daughter, Karyl Lu (Phil) Libs of Versailles, grandson, Adam (Marina) Libs of Boulder Colorado, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City on Monday May 5, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Tuesday May 6, 2025 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am, officiated by Bro. Scott Casebier with burial following at Forest Grove Cemetery.
