Judy Ann Mayes, 71, of Madisonville, KY died on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Detroit, MI on November 19, 1953, the daughter of Holly Gene Bray and Ilene Sword Bray. She had been a maintenance worker/painter for Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. She was a member of Morton’s Gap Christian Church, and she loved horseback riding, camping, and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Jerry Bray and Kenneth Bray, and three nieces Alivia Serra, Carrianne Bray, and Amanda Bray.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY conducted by Rev. Tony Evitts. Burial will follow at New Harmony-Bivins Cemetery in Tyewhoppety, KY.
She was survived by her husband of 19 years, Carl Mayes of Madisonville, KY; two daughters, Jennifer (Jeff) Starks of Crofton, KY, Paula (Kevin) Thompson of Central City, one son, John (Andrea) Ferguson of Owensboro, KY; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral at Gary’s Funeral Home.
