CENTRAL CITY – James Clarence Staples, 69, of Central City, died Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 9:52AM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Mr. Staples was born August 20, 1955 in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Cleaton Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Walmart. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Staples; and sister, Judith Wilkins.
He is survived by his mother, Bea Staples; brother, Freddie Staples; nephew, Mark Wilkins; nieces, Susan Price, and Jennifer Stevens; and cousins, Doris Dukes, and Joy Dozer.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 1PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Brian Jones officiating, assisted by Bro. Todd Cartwright. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
