David Lynn Mehlbauer, 73, of Beech Grove, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at his home. He was born October 30, 1951 in Daviess County to the late Bernard and Mary Louise Bell Mehlbauer. David retired from Mount Saint Joseph and was a self-employed painter. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mehlbauer; siblings, Joseph Mehlbauer, Robert Mehlbauer, Richard Mehlbauer, and Patty Beard, Joan Wimsatt; grandchild, Amy Roberts; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlynn Farmer.
He is survived by his daughter, Connie Caldwell; grandchild, Devin Gibson; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Yeiser, Sandra Slaton, and Mary Michael Ebelhar; companion, Debbie Crump; several nieces and nephews; a special great-nephew, Bradley T. Warner; and his fur babies, Hobbles and Cole.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
