The Foundation for Daviess County Public Schools is working to reconnect with graduates and community supporters through a new alumni initiative launched alongside a revamped website.
The updated site foundationfordcps.org offers a more user-friendly design and highlights the Foundation’s mission, current projects, and impact throughout the district. Central to the relaunch is the debut of an “Alumni & Friends Form,” which invites former students, educators, and supporters to share their contact information and stay engaged with the work happening in DCPS schools.
“We are excited to grow the alumni network and connect with the many incredible individuals who began their journey in DCPS,” said Foundation Executive Director Emmy Woosley. “Daviess County Public Schools has had professional athletes, business leaders, performers, and public servants walk the school hallways. By reconnecting with them, we can inspire current students and truly show what it means to be Better Together.”
The online form is secure and designed to make it easy for users to join the network. More than 60 alumni have already signed up, including some who now live outside Kentucky. The Foundation hopes that number continues to grow, providing a stronger support system for current students and highlighting the legacy of the district.
“DCPS has a rich legacy of excellence,” Woosley said. “This initiative helps us honor that past, invest in the present, and build a better future — together.”
In addition to the new form, the website features information on ways to give, stories of success, and opportunities for involvement across the district. It also serves as a central hub for sharing the Foundation’s work, which includes teacher grants, student scholarships, and district-wide programs like STEM initiatives and literacy development.
The Foundation for DCPS is a nonprofit organization that serves as the philanthropic arm of the Daviess County Public Schools district. It was established to enhance educational opportunities by funding innovative programs, supporting student needs, and investing in long-term initiatives that fall outside the scope of traditional public funding. The Foundation works closely with educators, businesses, and community members to align its efforts with district priorities.
