The 4th Annual Downtown Summer Jam will take place Saturday at McConnell Plaza along the Ohio River. Headlining the free, all-ages concert will be the Andy Brasher Band, with local favorites The Bombers opening the show.

Gates will open at 6 p.m., and the music is set to begin at 7.

“For the 4th Annual Downtown Summer Jam, we are proud to present two incredible, prestigious, and legendary hometown bands, the Andy Brasher Band and the Bombers,” said Heath Eric, CEO of The Eric Group. “As we’ve said many times, the level of talent right here in our backyards is amazing, and we’re excited to present both of these bands at the annual Downtown Summer Jam.”

While general admission is free, a limited number of VIP reserved tables are available for purchase. Each table seats four people and includes access to a private pit area near the stage, dedicated beverage service, a meet-and-greet with the bands, a commemorative lanyard, and easy restroom access. Tickets can be purchased at etix.com.

Beer, cocktails, and other beverages will be provided by Hoppy Molly, and food trucks will be on site. The Summer Jam also serves as a special edition of L!VE on the Banks, the city’s free weekly riverfront concert series.

Brasher is an Americana singer-songwriter known for soulful storytelling, country-rock anthems, and vivid live performances. He’s currently working on his seventh studio album in Nashville with long-time producer Harry Smith. His previous album, Myna Bird, was produced with a Grammy-winning team and released in 2020.

The Bombers, meanwhile, promise a nostalgic set that takes listeners on a musical journey with sounds ranging from Memphis and Detroit to Liverpool and Nashville.

“We’re looking forward to another evening on the banks of the Ohio River, where thousands of people will be having a great time in Downtown Owensboro, Kentucky,” Eric said. “Mark your calendar for July 19th and join us.”
