Vickie Alyce Wells, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born July 9, 1954 in Daviess County to Jackie Anderson Wells and the late Roy D. Wells. Vickie enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, gardening, and traveling.
She is survived by her son, Jason Claypool; mother, Jackie Anderson Wells; granddaughter, Christina Claypool; grandson, Jason Claypool, Jr.; sister, Melody Hayden (Tony); brother, Phillip Wells (Cindy); nieces, Camille Lambert and Jenny Wells Hosley; nephew, Chris Hayden; and her faithful cat, Butterball.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
