Louis Joseph Beldotti, 91, of Owensboro passed away surrounded by his loved ones on July 27, 2025 at Wellington Parc from natural causes. He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on March 13, 1934 to the late Charles and Tina Beldotti. Lou was the loving husband of Beverly A. Beldotti, just shy of 42 years. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. Lou was a graduate of Northeastern University with a bio-chemical degree and was a member and past president of the Northeastern College Band, where he played the clarinet. He spent six years with the Army Reserves achieving captain which he always was pleased to be an Army veteran. He worked for Mr. Boston Distillery until transferring to Glenmore in 1982 and retiring under United Distillery. Lou continued working for three more years with Barton Brands and truly retiring in 1999, after working with the product for 42 years. He previously spent nine years enjoying winters at Lake Shore Senior Mobile Home Park in St. Petersburg, Florida, his enjoyment was playing on their shuffleboard team. He loved to shop and was an avid coupon shopper. He enjoyed reading, playing bingo and cards, and walked and talking with neighbors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Carl and Peter Beldotti.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Beldotti; son, Louis Beldotti, Jr. of Ohio; three stepchildren, Thomas (Christi) Barnicle of Hudson Oaks, Texas, Patricia (Phil) Lambert, and Kevin Barnicle of Owensboro; 11 combined grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, with another on the way.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.
