Jean P. Head, 94, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at Hamilton Pointe in Newburgh, Indiana. She was born October 27, 1930 in Daviess County to the late John and Margaret Moreland Pagan. Jean was a member of Wing Avenue Baptist Church, but was a “church hopper” and also attended Central Presbyterian Church and occasionally Blessed Mother Catholic Church. She worked for over 30 years at General Electric as a secretary and then Owensboro Health and Green River Aging for nearly 15 years. Jean loved a party, sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, yearly trips to the zoo, going to concerts and Goldies Opryhouse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Alvey; granddaughter, Daniele Alvey; great-grandchild, Dominic Siddons; and four siblings, Stuart Pagan, Jeannetta Powers, Martina Janie Williams, and Patsy Head.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Woerter (Fred) of Evansville, Indiana, Bobbi Siddons (George) of Rockport, Indiana; and Tamara Johnson (Dane) of Owensboro; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Central Presbyterian Church. There will be no visitation.
