Fred Royce Hale, 76, formerly of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at his home in Henderson. He was born June 15, 1949 in Daviess County to the late Bryant Douglas Hale Sr. and Nettie Louise Jones Bowlds. Fred was formerly employed at Bloomtown Greenhouse and was a member of Redhill Baptist Church. He enjoyed wrestling, bowling, and watching The Price is Right. Fred was an avid UK fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Douglas Hale, Jr., Larry Hale, Mike Hale, and Dianna Staples.
He is survived by a sister, Joy Gerdom (Dave); brother-in-law, Ronnie Staples; extended family, Crystol Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Redhill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
