Lily Nieman scored twice and had an assist, while Ella Hall had a goal and an assist in Owensboro’s 5-2 win over Barren County. Lilly-Paige Early had a goal and two assists, while Adalyn Selby also scored. Caroline Smith tallied an assist, and Hayley Sikes finished with 10 saves in goal.
“Our passing was better again this game,” Owensboro Head Coach Sarah Poole said. “We had a few defensive breakdowns, but I think the heat was affecting the girls. Three of our goals were from crosses, one from a corner, and the last one was with a through ball. I love seeing the spread in goals and assists across several players, showing that the ball was worked into the offensive in a diverse way.”
