Hosting the Daviess County Classic, the Panthers beat second-place Bluegrass United Home School Team by eight points to finish first place, while the Lady Panthers came in second place in the girls’ 5k. The Lady Aces and E-Gals both also competed, finishing fourth and tenth.

Judson Redfern led the way for the Panthers, finishing eighth with a time of 16:57.7. Camryn Edge was close behind, finishing 12th with a time of 17:05.0. Landon Thompson (15th, 17:20.0), Joseph Edge (17th, 17:25.9), and Jonah Murphy (21st, 17:45.6) rounded out the team’s top five times.

“The team did very well in moving up when a man went down and ran with someone on the team,” Daviess County Head Coach James Loi said.

Loi was also pleased with his JV team, who also won their respective race.

“The JV group today was strong as well,” Loi said. “I wish we combined the races so they would have run with more competition, but overall, it was an easier scrimmage for them. They were recognized for their hard efforts.”

For the Lady Panthers, Makenzie Ross (4th, 19:40.4), Haley Wolfe (5th, 19:41.2), Bentlei Stallings (10th, 20:20.6) Kloee Gaynor (11th, 20:21.3), and Rylee Emmick (13th, 20:27.9) rounded out the team’s top five times.

For the Lady Aces, they were led by Peyton Reid (1st, 19:23.9), Caroline Wathen (17th, 20:39.1), Ainsley Sutter (30th, 21:45.1), Natalie Atherton (36th, 21:55.9), and Ashlei Hayden (38th, 22:09.7). Ava Falloway (44th, 22:23.0), Jada Pollard (57th, 23:09.6), Avery Boarman (58th, 23:14.4), Kirii Mattingly (88th, 25:10.3), and Abbie Carmon (109th, 26:57.1) rounded out the E-Gals top five times.
